Owners of Open Cafes in Tbilisi Exempted from Paying Rent to the Municipality by the End of 2021

Tbilisi City Hall extends the term of the lease discount for open cafes. At the capital's government session, Kakha Kaladze made a statement on it.

The mayor stated that the discount was only valid through February of this year, but due to the validity of epidemiological restrictions and a shortage of tourists, the mayor decided to prolong it.

"We've decided to extend the benefit to those businesses with open cafes. There are around 200 of these entities, and they will be free from paying the rent fee to City Hall by January 1, 2022. I believe we will be able to offer some support and aid in this direction. 

Certain entities that have already paid the rent tax will have their rent tax computed in advance, and they will not be charged the rent tax from February 1 through the end of the year," the mayor added.
