Otia's Wine Plans Hotel Launch and Craft Beer Production Boost by Year-End
Family-owned "Otia's Wine" intends to inaugurate a hotel by the close of this year, shared the founder, Otia Ioselian, in a conversation with "Business Partner".
Ioselian revealed that, currently, only some final formalities need to be addressed. The upcoming hotel will have a familial atmosphere, accommodating around 3-4 guests per room. To date, the initiative has attracted an investment of 30,000 euros.
Turning to their craft beer segment, Ioselian emphasized the burgeoning demand for their brew, marking it as a successful venture.
"Our brewery is bustling with activity. We're in the process of incorporating more fermentation tanks, anticipating a subsequent surge in production. Presently, we roll out 2,000 bottles monthly. But post-expansion, we forecast a three to four-fold production hike, backed by an investment of about 30,000 GEL," elaborated Ioselian.
In terms of distribution, while a substantial portion of their beer finds its market in Kutaisi, select beer shops in Tbilisi also stock "Otia's Wine" offerings.
Reflecting on the summer season, Ioselian mentioned that while other farms lamented the dearth of tourists, "Otia's Wine", with its longstanding market presence, consistently drew visitors. This steady footfall, he believes, is a testament to their persistent marketing efforts over the years and the resulting brand awareness.
For context, "Otia's Yard" was established in 2015 within the family grounds of the Georgian writer Otia Ioseliani's house-museum. Presently, their farm produces a range of items, including citrus, corn flour, adjika, Svan salt, beans, honey, and more. They also boast a collection of four wine varieties: Chkhaveri, Otskhanuri Safere, Tsolikauri, and Ojaleshi.
Concerning their craft beer, they currently offer brews in various glass bottle sizes: 330 ml, 550 ml, and 750 ml.
