Job Numbers Dropped by 61,700 in Georgia
Despite the pandemic, the volume of turnover and output of the business remained the same, although job numbers dropped by 61,700, to 622,700.
The number of employees decreased by 8.5% to 586,400 people. Total expenditures of enterprises on staff were set at GEL 2.3 billion, a decrease of 4.5%.
In the first quarter, the average monthly salary in the business sector amounted to 1 283.5 GEL, an increase of 56.5 GEL. The average monthly salary in a large business is 1,341.9 GEL, in an average business - 1,474.5 GEL, and in a small business - 1,061.9 GEL.
