Increase in Prices will be Inevitable from June - Kula

As the director of Kula, Vano Goglidze declares, an increase in prices will be inevitable from June.

"Naturally, everything in production depends on prime cost. The cost of new materials has risen, as well as, utility bills have increased, which are 15% of our manufacturing costs. Due to all this, the price increase will be inevitable from June. We do not know the exact price yet, it will depend on the cost of raw materials. However, until now, prices have been maintained at the expense of internal resources. The pandemic has been a difficult period, especially since we kept our staff throughout the whole year."

According to him, the company does not plan to add a new production line and is oriented to keeping the current state.

Kula entered the Georgian market in 2009. Currently, the company has 5 enterprises, in Gori and Akhaltsikhe. Kula produces 250 types of canned products, which are sold in 25 countries in addition to the local market.
