Geoflower Starts Producing Compost in Racha
With the support of the European Union, Austria, and Sweden, compost production has started in Racha. The GEOFLOWER enterprise is the first in the region to focus on the latter.
This year, the company manufactured the first trial batch of compost and it claims that the use of compost in production improves the structure of the soil and provides plants with useful nutrients.
GEOFLOWER plans to use the produced compost in its own tea plantations.
"We have a tea plantation, and we are planning to use our compost to fertilize the soil. First, we produced the first trial batch of compost. In the future, we have other plans in this regard, it is possible to start selling it to other producers as well," says Natia Pruidze, Food safety and quality manager of "Geoflower".
The company also offers 6 varieties of tea to the local market. All products manufactured here are bio-certified.
