Davitashvili: We Do Not Have Illusion that All Companies will Survive the Crisis

We do not have the illusion that all companies will survive the crisis - the Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili said in the program of Palitranews.

According to him, as a result of the right policy of the government, the sectors and fields were maintained, but not all companies.

"Naturally, market relations involve a lot of economic and commercial risks. This does not mean that there is no pressure on business, but probably everyone sees that the state has taken too many steps to help businesses including those in the sector. Steps have been taken to stimulate business by both the Ministry of Economy and our Ministry. We have taken very extraordinary steps among them and have also subsidized imports into certain food products. We have shown very effective management in one part, and I assure the population that our next steps will be effective as well.

We do not have the illusion that all companies will survive the crisis. Our aid package was the largest and unprecedented in the country. It proves that we have a responsible government and this has resulted in us maintaining the sectors and industries, but I can not rule out that individual companies could not survive the crisis," - said Davitashvili.
