Black Sea Petroleum Announces Production Milestones, Honeywell Partnership Expansion, and Plans to Process Non-Russian Crude Oil

Black Sea Petroleum LLC has announced key updates on its operations and long-term development strategy, highlighting increased production, an expanded partnership with Honeywell, and plans to diversify its crude oil supply.

According to the company, more than 650,000 tons of feedstock were processed during the first half of 2026, reflecting continued growth in refinery operations.

As part of its modernization strategy, Black Sea Petroleum has expanded its cooperation with Honeywell. Following previously signed engineering and licensing agreements, the partnership now also includes the procurement and implementation of advanced technological equipment and automated control systems for the refinery.

The company also outlined the next stages of its development plan. In the first quarter of 2027, Black Sea Petroleum expects to begin producing road bitumen for both the domestic and export markets. In the second quarter of 2027, the refinery is scheduled to gain the capacity to produce aviation fuel, broadening its product portfolio.

Another major milestone is the diversification of feedstock supplies. Beginning in August–September 2026, the company plans to start refining crude oil of entirely non-Russian origin. According to Black Sea Petroleum, this strategic shift will enable the company to access higher-margin international markets for its petroleum products.

Black Sea Petroleum says it remains committed to implementing its long-term strategic development plan while strengthening Georgia's industrial sector and contributing to the country's economic growth.
