Ukraine: Kyiv to host Euro Marathon in May
On 12 May, the Ukrainian capital of Kiev will host the Euro Marathon, a sporting event supported by the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
Organised for the fourth time, the marathon will gather over 3,000 runners from around the world.
This year, the Kiev Euro Marathon will take place on a renovated track, as runners will have the chance to compete in different distances: 6 km, 12 km, half-marathon or full marathon, as well as a team marathon race and races for children. In 2019, the organisers have also introduced a 6-km Nordic walk.
The event’s participants will be able to visit a “Creative Euro Zone” where the EU Delegation will share information about the EU, its values and culture, and allow visitors to spend time in a relaxation zone. Visitors will also have the chance to take selfies in a specially created area and take part in many other activities in the Creative Euro Zone.
