1.5 Million Ukrainian Citizens Leave Country Since the Beginning of War

According to the UN, the start of the war in Ukraine in Russia started the largest refugee crisis in Europe since World War II.

As of March 6, 1.5 million Ukrainian citizens had left the country due to Russian intervention.

The EU predicts that the number of those who will try to leave the country may increase to 4 million.

BBC writes that Ukrainian citizens move to neighboring countries, mostly to Poland. Ukrainian refugees also moved to Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. A relatively small portion went to Russia and Belarus.
