Revenues from Exported Georgian Wine Reach $125 Million

Revenues from exported wine reach $ 125 million, up 9% from the same period last year. The amount of exported wine has also increased by 12%.

The dynamics of export growth in the strategic markets of Georgian wine is maintained: Poland - 28% (3268131), China - 7% (3143021), Lietuva - 51% (601164), USA - 26% (565876), Germany - 18% (439042) and UK - 85% (395082).

This year, the growth is significant in countries such as: Canada - 93% (189562), Sweden - 60% (66772), Czech Republic - 589% (95406), Kazakhstan - 35% (2150440), Israel - 78% (299067), Azerbaijan - 41% (133391), Turkey - 436% (77226), Ukraine - 15% (6409699), Russia - 9% (33094833), Mongolia - 261% (266250).

The top five Georgian wine exporting countries are: Russia, Ukraine, Poland, China and Kazakhstan.

337 companies exported different quantity of wine from Georgia. In addition, during the reporting period, 18.6 million bottles (0.5 l) of the brandy were exported, which is 17% more than the same period in 2020. Revenues from brandy exports reached $ 34.5 million (up 6.4%).

421 thousand bottles (0.5 l) of Chacha were exported, the export growth was 63%. Revenues from Chacha exports reached $ 1.1 million; The growth, compared to the same period last year, amounted 57%.

Exports of wine, brandy, Chacha, brandy spirits and brandy on tap amounted $ 202.4 million in revenue, up 14% from the same period last year.
