Georgian Wines Showcased at “Georgian Grand Tasting” in Warsaw to Boost Exports and Visibility

Organized by the National Wine Agency and its contractor, the Polish marketing company “People PR,” a large-scale Georgian wine tasting event, “Georgian Grand Tasting,” was held in Warsaw.

The goal of the event was to popularize Georgian wine and diversify its export markets. It was attended by Polish wine professionals, importers, representatives of the HoReCa sector, and media. A wide variety of wines from 24 Georgian wine-producing companies were presented.

As part of the event, three masterclasses on Georgian wine were held, led by German Master of Wine Konstantin Baum and Ketevan Frangulaishvili, head of the Polish company “O-Lille.”

The exhibition was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Poland, Diana Zhgenti. Georgian entrepreneurs received support from the Embassy of Georgia in Poland to present their wines at the tasting.

“This is a very important event, and first of all, we should thank the National Wine Agency for its support in promoting the export of Georgian wine. The Polish market is very significant—it is a large market in itself and also offers an opportunity to expand Georgian wine exports deeper into Europe. Promoting Georgian wine is one of the Embassy’s top priorities. Wine and Georgian cuisine play a special role in building cultural ties, and we are always ready to support Georgian producers in bringing their products to Polish consumers,” said Ambassador Diana Zhgenti.

The event in Warsaw was also attended by Anano Sheklashvili, a representative of the National Wine Agency.

“Warsaw is hosting a large-scale presentation of Georgian wine for the second time this year. This is a great opportunity for Georgian producers to meet with Polish importers and distributors and ultimately increase sales in Poland—one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine,” noted Anano Sheklashvili.

It is worth noting that Poland is among the top five export markets for Georgian wine. The National Wine Agency has been collaborating with “People PR” in Poland since 2022. During this time, Georgian wine exports to Poland have shown steady growth. In 2024, exports reached 6.7 million liters—an increase of 12% compared to 2023.
