Georgian Wine Presented in Canada at One of the Most Prestigious Festivals
With the organization of the National Wine Agency and the support of the Embassy of Georgia in Canada, Georgian wine was showcased at one of the most prestigious wine and spirits festivals in Montreal, “La Grande Dégustation de Montréal.”
The festival, now in its 15th year, is considered one of the largest events in the Québec region, attracting up to 10,000 visitors annually.
Guests had the opportunity to taste nine types of Georgian wines already available on the Québec and Ontario markets.
There was significant interest in Georgian wine from festival attendees — an important factor for raising awareness of Georgia and promoting Georgian wine. The event was attended by wine professionals, journalists, wine writers, and importers from various countries around the world.
The festival featured wines from Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Greece, Romania, and other countries.
Georgia was represented at the event by Salome Kurasbediani, Chargé d’Affaires of Georgia in Canada, along with representatives of the Embassy.
