Georgian Wine Presented at the Salon Savim TERRAVINI Festival in France
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of its contractor, Le Pont Caucasien, Georgian wine was showcased at the Salon Savim TERRAVINI wine and gastronomy festival held in the city of Nice, France.
Festival guests had the opportunity to discover wines of various denominations from five Georgian wine-producing companies and small wineries. Salon Savim TERRAVINI is considered one of France’s leading wine and gastronomy events and is attended annually by tens of thousands of wine professionals, HoReCa representatives, and consumers.
Georgian wine at the festival was presented by Ilia Kakhoidze, a France-based oenologist and head of Le Pont Caucasien.
As part of efforts to diversify export markets and strengthen the international presence of Georgian wine, Georgia also took part in the Arts & Vin festival in France earlier in October.
One of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency is the promotion and increased visibility of Georgian wine in global markets. Since 2013, the Agency has been implementing targeted marketing and advertising campaigns in strategic markets, including France—a country with a strong winemaking culture, where demand for Georgian wine, especially qvevri wine, continues to grow. During the first nine months of 2025, 111,000 bottles of Georgian wine were exported to France, a 71% increase compared to the same period last year.
To support the promotion of Georgian wine in France, the National Wine Agency has been cooperating with Le Pont Caucasien since 2015, organizing presentations of Georgian wine at a number of high-profile industry events.
