“Georgian Wine Exports to European Countries Are on the Rise” – National Wine Agency
In 2025, Georgia exported 11.5 million liters of wine worth USD 38.7 million to nearly 30 European countries. Compared to 2024, export revenues increased by 7%, while export volumes rose by 2%, according to information released by the National Wine Agency of Georgia.
According to the Agency, Poland was the largest European market for Georgian wine in 2025, with 6.8 million liters exported. This was followed by Germany (1.3 million liters), Latvia (1.2 million liters), Lithuania (703.5 thousand liters), the United Kingdom (327.7 thousand liters), Estonia (271 thousand liters), and other European markets.
“Export growth is particularly noteworthy in renowned wine-producing countries such as France, where demand for Georgian wine—especially qvevri wines—continues to grow steadily. In 2025, nearly 133 thousand liters of Georgian wine were exported to France, representing a 63% increase compared to 2024,” the Agency noted.
One of the key areas of the National Wine Agency’s work is the promotion of Georgian wine and the enhancement of its international visibility. Among European countries, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland remain strategic markets for Georgian wine, while Scandinavian countries are also prioritized. To support market diversification, the Agency implements advertising and marketing campaigns in these markets.
With the financial support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies participate in all major international wine and spirits exhibitions across Europe, the Agency’s statement said.
