Georgian Vineyard to be Planted in Cyprus
The Georgian vineyard will be planted in Cyprus. Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture stated about it at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum.
“It is very important to increase trade relations with Cyprus as a tourist-friendly country, in the agrarian direction. It is also important to cooperate in the viticulture and wine sector, as the tendency to development is growing. We have a chance to offer a variety of Georgian varieties of vineyards to the Cyprus side, which will adapt to their difficult climatic conditions. So the real prospect of cooperation between the two countries is in several directions, “said Levan Davitashvili.
The signing ceremony of the bilateral document was held at the Georgian State Ceremonies Palace. The aim of the Memorandum of Understanding is to ensure the development of cooperation between the Parties aimed at implementing joint activities and projects in the field of agriculture.
Cyprus delegation headed by President Niko Anastasiadi is visiting Georgia for the first time.
