Georgian Manufacturers Participate in IWSC

For the first time in history, Georgian manufacturers have the opportunity to win an internationally recognized award in their own country.

On October 13, Georgia will host the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), within the framework of which, well-known and distinguished British experts will share their experience with Georgian winemakers.

"We run a tightly structured, rigorous wine tasting process. The format of our judging sessions allows for group discussion, which also ensures maximum exposure to key decision makers, who receive full details of the wines they have tasted after the session is complete.", writes IWSC on its platform.

Wine scoring system:

Gold Silver Bronze
95-100 90-94 85-89
A superb wine with great personality, character and complexity, but that is also true to its origins. An example that stands out among its peers as a supreme drinking experience. An accomplished wine with considerable personality. A classic example of its style or variety. A perfectly well-made wine which provides an enjoyable drinking experience.

The winners of the competition will be announced at the partner event, "Gurjaani Wine Festival" on October 15. The wine samples presented in the competition will be evaluated by the international and local jury, which will be headed by the British master of wine Sarah Abbott.
