Georgia Ranks 1st Place Among Organic Wine Exporting Countries in the USA

According to the information provided by American Association of Wine Economists AAWE, 11.3% of the wine imported from Georgia in the USA has an organic wine certificate, which enables the latter to occupy the first place among the main importing countries in the American market.

Austria is in second place with 7.4%, while Canada ranks third with 7.1%.

The United States is a strategic export market for Georgia, where, in 2021, the historical maximum of exports was made - 1,084,278 bottles of wine. Export growth rates have been maintained this year as well, according to the data of the time juncture between January July, up to 660,000 bottles of wine were exported, which is 16% higher than the figure of the same period last year.
