Founders of Twins Wine House Hold a Lecture Course on Kvevri Wine Production in France
The founders of Twins Wine House will hold a lecture course on Kvevri wine production in France.
It all started with the fact that the founders of Twins Wine House, Gela and Gia Gazitulashvili, decided to open an educational center due to the lack of qualified staff, academic experience, and the material base in the territory of the winery. After one year of work, the Council of the National Center for the Quality of Education granted the right to teach Kvevri wine-making technology.
The twin brothers announced on the air of the "Forbes Week" program that they will conduct the lecture course themselves, although biologists and invited guests will also be involved in the process.
"This is a 6-week lecture and practical course, after which the trained cadres will learn the technique of making kvevri wine, care of the kvevri, extracting wine from the kvevri into fractions and, most importantly, evaluating the wine of the kvevri. Obviously, this course will not make the enrolled people professional winemakers, however, they will have the opportunity to develop their skills. At this stage, the interest is quite high and we will try to give them our knowledge as much as possible,'' Gia Ghatstulashvili said.
As for the future plans of the educational center, according to him, in February, they will hold a course on the technique of making kvevri wine in France, and after that, they plan to bring foreign winemakers to their training center in Napareuli to share their experience with them.
