Deputy Agriculture Minister: Lower Wine Export Cannot Dramatize Situation
COVID-19 has damaged small wine cellars. Winemakers bear losses as a result of declining wine exports and tourist inflows.
As noted by the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, the sector meets significant challenges, but lower wine exports cannot dramatize the situation.
“We have positive and encouraging tendencies in certain markets. We should activate working on new models of digital marketing and fully use these resources,” Khatia Tsilosani noted.
The Deputy Minister discussed the current problems before small wine cellars and updated the sector representatives on the new approaches to assist small wine cellars in popularizing their products and sales.
The National Wine Agency will provide overall support to small wine cellars for using new online platforms on strategic markets, ensure transportation of tasting wines to international markets, Tsilosani noted.
