''We Present Georgia as Safe, Diverse Tourist Country at ITB Berlin''
The National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is present at the ITB Berlin exhibition. The exhibition-market is being held online due to the pandemic this year.
At one of the largest international tourism exhibitions in the world, Georgia has been awarded the status of a partner country in the field of adventure and sustainable tourism.
39 tourism companies, hotels, tourism associations and state organizations are participating in the exhibition together with the National Tourism Administration.
"This year we have the honor to be the official partner of ITB Berlin. This is a great opportunity to present Georgia as a country of safe, diverse tourism products at one of the largest exhibitions in the tourism industry. We have given a unique opportunity to show the whole world the still undiscovered tourist destinations of Georgia. I am confident that the partnership with ITB Berlin will further increase Georgia's awareness, both among tourism professionals and tourists interested in safe travel to Georgia in the post-covid period, and will help our private sector recover and receive tourists as quickly as possible,- said Acting Head of the National Administration Medea Janiashvili.
A panel was organized within the framework of the exhibition, where the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava addressed the participants of ITB Berlin. Representatives of companies also participated in the panel discussion.
The ITB Berlin virtual exhibition is attended by more than 180 countries, more than 10 thousand representatives of the tourism sector, the exhibition has 160 thousand visitors.
In 2023, Georgia will already be a host country at the ITB Berlin exhibition and will have access to an audience of 1 billion, which is directly and indirectly involved in the tourism industry.
