Tourist Infrastructure to be Arranged Next to Sioni Monastery Complex

Tourist infrastructure will be arranged next to Sioni Monastery complex in Gori Municipality Village Ateni. 

Civil works include the following components:

1) Arrangement of public toilets, 5 units – at the central road slope located next to the Village Ateni lower neighborhood access road, just before you reach the monastery;

2) Arrangement of a parking lot on the other side of the central road, in two pockets of natural origin existing in the rocky slope;

3) Rehabilitation of the existing road – from the specified location up to the present central entrance to the monastery;

4) Arrangement of a connecting footpath -bypassing the rocky slope existing north of the monastery, from the central road to the monastery platform.

The European Investment Bank funded project at the cost exceeding GEL 1.2 million is to be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.
