THAI AIRASIA X Resumes Charter Flights from Bangkok to Tbilisi
Thai AirAsia X will resume charter flights from Bangkok to Tbilisi. The airline operated direct charter flights to Georgia during the winter navigation season of 2019-2020.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy, the resumption of direct flights with Thailand will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in both the civil aviation and tourism sectors.
"Our policy is aimed at attracting more international airlines to Georgia. Southeast Asia is one of the target markets for our tourism sector. Therefore, we will actively continue to work to bring airlines from this and other Asian regions to the aviation market of Georgia. This will help tourists from Asian countries travel to Georgia. With this, we continue to diversify our tourist markets, which has a positive impact on the faster recovery of both the tourism and civil aviation sectors in Georgia," said the Deputy Minister.
According to the flight application submitted by the airline to the Civil Aviation Agency, direct flights on the Bangkok-Tbilisi-Bangkok airline will be carried out at the initial stage, on October 8-29, with 2 frequencies per week. Flights will also continue in winter.
