TETRA - New Cave Opens in Imereti Region

A new cave has opened in Imereti Region, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili said.

Cave TETRA visitors have the opportunity to taste aged wines, Deputy Minister said. One more unique cave TETRA has opened in Imereti Region, after Imereti, Prometheus, and Sataplia caves! TETRA Cave is the first eco-tourism space in Georgia, where you can taste aged wines in the very beautiful and ancient cave with white drippings. For the first time in Georgia and Europe, the very successful and overall attractive innovative service was introduced at TETRA Cave: aging wines at the Cave’s constantly equal temperature and tasting these aged wines on the spot. The cave visitors are also able to enjoy speleo-recreational services.

Approximately 15,000 archeological exponents have been unearthed at TETRA Cave, including the elbow bone of Paleolithic humans. The Cave consists of three halls separated by stalactites, stalagmites, and dripstones”, Mariam Kvrivishvili wrote on her Facebook page.
