Tbilisi Wins LCD Berlin Award for Best Emerging Culture City

Georgia's capital celebrated as Best Emerging Culture City at the 2020 LCD Berlin Awards ceremony organized jointly by the Global culture-travel network Leading Cultural Destinations and VisitBerlin.

The LCD Awards aims to help tourists unlock the latest travel hotspots offering cultural events and adventure.

The LCD Awards showcased 50 cultural destinations in 28 countries, with 18 of them garnering various awards.

The winners of the 2020 award were selected by an international jury comprised of the European Culture Editor for The New York Times and distinguished representatives of culture.

Prep work for participation in the competition was carried out by the National Tourism Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
