Tbilisi National Park to have a New Ecotourism Space

A public discussion of the project "Setting up basic and recreational infrastructure in Tbilisi National Park" and the environmental and social management plan was held in the building of the Mtskheta Municipality City Hall.

Within the framework of the project of the Government of Georgia - "Program for large-scale renewal of the country", it is planned to develop ecotourism in Tbilisi National Park, which will be implemented by the "Municipal Development Fund" of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia with the involvement of the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.

Within the scope of the large-scale project, for the first time in Georgia, an ecotourism space corresponding to the American standard will be organized in the Tbilisi National Park with a network of ecotourism trails up to 300 km long and the accompanying infrastructure - a visitor center, 3 tourist cottages, and picnic areas.
