Royal Batoni: Monthly Loss is About GEL 15-20 Thousand

According to Lasha Khetereli, General Manager of the Royal Batoni Hotel, the monthly loss is about 15-20 thousand GEL.

"We work at 25% per month. We had expected that the closure of winter resorts would increase our customers, however, this decision did not have a positive effect on our hotel. People seem to be scared and shy away from traveling. For about a year we have been trying to retain all employees and pay their salaries.

The development of domestic tourism is good, but there are many obstacles before a visitor can come to us. We also had to change the pricing policy, at this stage the cost of a 2-person room with breakfast and VAT is 100-120 GEL, when it cost more than 400 GEL. We think we will temporarily stop working from January and when the situation stabilizes we will return to our vacationers, "- said Lasha Khetereli.

Royal Batoni is located in Kakheti, 146 kilometers from Tbilisi. At this stage, the hotel has 30 rooms, an outdoor pool and other spaces. Khetereli said the hotel has plans to expand.
