Resorts Development Agency to Establish in Georgia
Resorts Development Agency will be established in Georgia in the near future.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the agency will work on the development and promotion of balneological resorts, as well as mountain resorts. Its main tasks will be to research and study new, potential resorts; cooperate with various agencies to attract investments and grants, and to facilitate the process.
"One of the strategic goals of the country's economic development is to increase the number of international visitors, which is accompanied by an increase in revenue. In turn, the development of resorts is important since it actively attracts tourists.", noted the ministry.
As it is further mentioned, there are about 300 resorts in the country, therefore, taking care of them and fully utilizing the resort potential of the country is an important opportunity for Georgia to provide additional economic stimulation.
