Rehabilitation of the Road Near Tobavarchkhili Lake Set to Begin

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is starting the rehabilitation of the road near Tobavarchkhil Lake.

The tender for this service has already been announced, the cost of which is up to 12 million GEL.

"Rehabilitation works of the access road to Tobavarchkhil Lake in Chkhorotsku Municipality is about to begin", - we read in the tender application.

The Municipal Development Fund explained that the road will not lead to the Tobavarchkhili Lake itself, and tourists will still have to walk about 7 km.

Tobavarchkhil Lake is one of the favorite places for tourists. The lake is located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Chkhorotsku municipality, at an altitude of 2,650 meters above sea level. Its depth is 35 meters, and the area is 160 thousand square meters.
