Projects Which were Implemented in Tourism

The head of National Tourism Administration has introduced society with new projects, marketing campaigns, press and meeting tours and results of an already implemented new campaign on international platforms. 

As Mariam Kvrivishvili noted, in 2019 National Tourism Administration has hosted hundreds of media representatives. As a result, nearly 1500 articles, video reports, and broadcasting programs were prepared.

Organized by the administration, in 2019, for nearly 300 leading foreigner tour operators were held 22 meeting tours.

In the boarding journals of Wizz Air, Qatar Airways and Emirates, 15 million passengers had access to the articles about Georgia.

Advertising campaign about Georgia was implemented in National Geographic, Google, Expedia, and Conde Nast Traveler.

Also, large-scale campaign was implemented on CNN, which includes TV programs, special video reports, and online pages. Within the framework of the campaign, "Discover Georgia" - page of Georgia was prepared on the platform of CNN. Integrated marketing campaigns were held in 8 target countries: Germany, Poland, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. It is worth noting, that at the beginning of the campaigns, the demand towards the country was pretty high, which also was depicted in the statistic index, compared to the last year's period.

Mariam Kvrivishvili surveys conventional and exhibition bureau activities for tourism development and also discusses implemented and elaborated projects together with the international, donor organizations and private sectors.

Presentation in 6 countries, nearly 500 tour operators and journalists: Spain, Uzbekistan, Japan, Luxembourg, Israel, and The Czech Republic.

14 international MICE exhibition and 5 roadshows on target markets, nearly 13,000 meetings

Elaborating state co-founding program

nearly 40 visits of tour operators from countries of Asia and Far East in Georgia

B2B meetings with 50 companies, Scandinavia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China

Masterclasses of UNWTO & ICCA: 120 retrained people

Supported events: In total 500 delegates from 112 countries

Hosting investment forum and UNWTO General Assembly Executive council meeting
