Number of Russian Visitors to Georgia Increased 5 Times

In August 2022, the number of visitors from Russia to Georgia increased 5 times compared to the same period of the previous year.

In particular, according to the National Tourism Administration, the number of international visitors from Russia has grown by 434.4% last month compared to the same period of the previous year.

More specifically, in August 2022, 213,261 visitors from Russia visited Georgia, while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 39,909.

It should also be noted that according to the number of international visitors, Russia ranks 1st among the top 15 countries. It is followed by Armenia - with 138,471 visitors, and Turkey is in 3rd place - with 103,548 visitors.
