Nikoloz Antidze: 20,000 Visitors Visited Enguri Dam in 4 Months

In November of last year, the first tourist route was opened on the dam of Enguri HPP, the budget of which was 100,000 GEL, according to Nikoloz Antidze, director of Enguri Attraction LLC.

Nikoloz Antidze hosted the President of Georgia at the dam, where he announced that 20,000 visitors have already visited the attraction since May. However, it needs to be promoted as a tourist destination.

"The duration of the tourist route of the Enguri dam is two hours, and visitors have the opportunity to see the dam bridge, the disc shield building, the tunnel, the reservoir shield section, and other interesting places. The visit of the President of Georgia, which was made to the "Enguri hydroelectric power station", is very important, it will once again promote the dam, as a promotion of industrial heritage.

According to the decree of the Government of Georgia, a big project is being implemented, which has its own stages and needs time, but the most important thing is that Enguri Dam has already been opened for visitors this year and we have already had 20,000 visitors since May," said Nikoloz Antidze.

Currently the project "Enguri HPP Arch Dam World Class Attraction" is being implemented by Energy Development Fund and its subsidiary company "Enguri Attraction".
