New Eco-Tourism Infrastructure Organized in Kolkheti National Park
The Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze, and the Chairman of the Protected Areas Agency, Davit Iosebashvili visited the newly constructed infrastructure and current works in Kolkheti National Park.
This year, a zip line and rock climbing wall attraction have been added to Kolkheti National Park's diverse ecotourism services. In the coming days, visitors to Kolkheti National Park will have the opportunity to experience additional entertainment activities in addition to the boat services.
"One of the priorities of the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture is the development of ecotourism, within the framework of which various infrastructure projects are implemented in protected areas, existing ones are being rehabilitated and new attractions are being added so that the visitors who come here have more opportunities to relax and get to know the local biodiversity", - noted the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze.
The development of ecotourism in Kolkheti National Park is ongoing. Last year, 4 eco-tourism cottages were arranged in the courtyard of the visitor center, a new pier was built, the Fichor River picnic area was renovated, and the cafeteria will be completed in the near future.
