"July 2022 was Historically the Busiest for Kutaisi Airport"
330 flights and 93,919 passengers- in the month of July 2022, Kutaisi International Airport served the largest number of flights and passengers in history.
According to Tamar Archuadze, director of the Association of Georgian Airports, the dynamics of air traffic at Kutaisi International Airport reached a historical maximum in July.
"Last month was historically the busiest for Kutaisi International Airport. Serving 330 flights and 93,919 passengers in one month was both a joy and a responsibility for our airport. We have even more positive expectations. Wizz Air returned a second aircraft based at our airport and started direct flights to Tallinn and Paris. Also, the second aircraft allowed the airline to increase flight frequencies on existing routes. Accordingly, all this will contribute to the increase of passenger flow and flights at the airport,'' Tamar Archuadze said.
According to the information of the Union of Georgian Airports, at this stage, 4 airlines operate in 28 directions from 17 countries at the Kutaisi International Airport.
