Guesthouse Room Prices Increased by 20% in Georgia
The cost of hotel services has increased in Georgia. Family hotel services have gotten more expensive according to a category, with a 20% annual price increase.
According to the PMC research, the hotel price index increased by 13.3% in July 2022 compared to June, including the price index of 3, 4 and 5-star hotels by 12.7%, and the prices of family-type hotels increased by 15.9%.
The monthly index was the highest in Samtskhe-Javakheti (30.1%) and Adjara (22%), and the lowest in Kakheti (1.6%).
Annually, the prices have increased by 13%, including the price index of 3, 4 and 5-star hotels by 12.2%, and the prices of family hotels by 20.2%. The annual index was the highest in Racha (24.2%) and Samtskhe-Javakheti (20.5%), and the lowest in Shida Kartli (-1.6%).
According to the research, in July 2022, the average price of 3-star hotels in Georgia was 173 GEL, the average price of 4-star hotels was 276 GEL. The average price of family-type hotels is 118 GEL.
The average price of 5-star hotels in July was 563 GEL. In hotels of this type in Guria, the average price of a standard double room was 1001 GEL, in Tbilisi - 619, in Adjara - 612, and in Kakheti - 522 GEL.
