Georgia's Hotel Price Index Declined by 23.2% in February
Georgia's hotel price index declined by 23.2% in February 2020 compared to January 2020.
According to PMCG, the price index of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels dropped by 19.7%, while the prices of family-run hotels dropped by 30.2%.
As for the annual breakdown in February 2020, compared to February 2019, the hotel price index decreased by 14.6%, including the price index of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels decreased by 15.4%, while prices for family-run hotels decreased by 16.3%.
It should be noted that in February 2020, the average price of 3-star hotels in Georgia was 115 GEL and the average price of 4-star hotels was 184 GEL. Average price for family-run hotels in February was 66 GEL. The average price of a 5-star hotel in February was GEL 301.
In Mtskheta-Mtianeti, the average price of a standard 2-star hotel is 779 GEL, in Tbilisi - 444 GEL, in Samtskhe-Javakheti - 339, and in Guria - 331 GEL.
