Georgian Business Tourism Association Proposes Initiative for Recovering Shocked Tourism Industry

An online conference has been held for manager generals and founders of international and domestic companies operating in tourism industry. The conference was initiated by the Georgian Business Tourism Association (GBTA).

The conference discussed the following topics:
  • Difficulties that the tourism and hospitality industries are facing;
  • Scenarios for the industry recovery in the post-pandemic period;
  • How the situation may develop on global level;
  • The world in 2021.
The GBTA board of directors has introduced the most realistic scenario for 2020-2021 to the tourism industry leaders: how can we promote companies so as they meet the post-pandemic period prepared? The new reality requires new approaches, new initiatives and corresponding implementation.
As noted by the Association directors, the Georgian Government is taking unique steps for rescuing the hospitality industry; however, the mentioned industry requirs much more assistance for recovery.

The GBTA is ready to actively cooperate with the Government and other business associations to shape a consolidated position over the industry promotion. Collection of information and its valuable analysis is as vitally necessary for companies as the quantity of respiratory ventilators for the medical sector.
