Georgia will be One of the First non-EU Countries with Which Germany will Resume Flights - Mariam Kvrivishvili
Mariam Kvrivishvili, the head of the National Tourism Administration declared after the meeting of Coordinating Council that when Germany will open its international borders with non-EU countries, Georgia will be one of the first countries with which Germany will resume flights.
Mariam Kvrivishvili also mentioned that the EU has not developed the regulations on international traveling yet.
"Every country of the EU opens its internal borders until the beginning of July. Germany extended the period of opening international borders until August 31st, which not only considers Georgia but every country, which is not a member of the EU. The method of approach of Germany towards tourism is fully based on domestic tourism, however, I define that we hold successful negotiations with Germany, the country shows trust towards Georgia. When the recommendations will be developed by the EU and the countries will make a decision to open international air traffic, Georgia will be one of the first countries, with which the international borders will be opened from the EU. But the regulations on international traveling are not developed yet.", noted Mariam Kvrivishvili.
