Georgia Becoming Host Country at ITB BERLIN 2023 International Exhibition
Georgia will be presented as a host country at the ITB Berlin 2023 international tourism exhibition.
According to the information of the National Tourism Administration, the status of the host country allows Georgia to introduce tourism products to 200,000 visitors of the exhibition, including 100,000 business visitors and to millions of television viewers of the exhibition.
Georgia will be involved in international media campaigns, which include online, television, radio and print media.
ITB Berlin has been the world's leading travel trade fair since 1966. Before the Covid pandemic, more than 10,000 companies from 181 countries were represented at the exhibition every year. More than 160,000 visitors, including 113,500 business visitors, visited the international tourist exhibition.
The National Tourism Administration held active marketing campaigns this year. In order to attract high-spending tourist flows, the National Tourism Administration conducted a large-scale campaign using Bloomberg, one of the most influential media platforms in the world. Within the framework of the project, two videos and three articles were prepared about the tourism potential of Georgia, which were posted on Bloomberg's website and social networks. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
As part of the campaign, more than 6 million Internet users in Great Britain, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Israel were exposed to promotional videos and articles about Georgia.
In parallel with the cooperation with Bloomberg, an active marketing campaign of the National Tourism Administration was held in the Baltic and Persian Gulf countries, where the tourism potential of Georgia was introduced using social networks, digital and print media, television and radio, external banners and influencers.
As part of the campaign of the National Tourism Administration, the passengers of the German low-budget airline Eurowings got acquainted with the tourist destination of Georgia in the in-flight magazine.
Along with the marketing campaign, the National Tourism Administration participated in the 12 largest international tourism fairs in the world this year. Georgian tourism products were presented at two exhibitions in Dubai, Tel Aviv, London, Warsaw, Birmingham, Brno, Tampere, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin.
