Edelweiss Air to Launch Zurich-Tbilisi Flights in 2025
Starting April 12, 2025, Swiss airline Edelweiss, part of the Lufthansa Group, will begin direct flights between Zurich and Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport. The airline will operate twice weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft, marking Zurich as a new destination in the Georgian aviation market.
Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the Union of Georgian Airports, announced the news after two years of negotiations with Edelweiss. “We are pleased to welcome another European airline to Tbilisi. Zurich is a completely new route for Georgian aviation, and Edelweiss, with its focus on resort destinations, will help attract high-spending tourists from Switzerland,” Karkashadze said.
Edelweiss, a subsidiary of Swiss International Airlines, serves 90 destinations across Europe and the Americas. Tickets are available through the Edelweiss website at flyedelweiss.com and Swiss International Airlines at swiss.com.
