Breaking Record: More than 9 Million International Travelers Visited Georgia

Georgia was visited by more than 9 million international travelers in 2019 for the first time in its history - Mariam Kvrivishvili, the head of the National Tourism Administration, said when delivering the 2019 report.

According to Kvrivishvili, 9.3 million international travelers have already arrived in Georgia by December 27, 2019 that is 7.1% more compared to the same period of last year.

As for the tourist visits, according to the National Tourism Administration, 5 million tourists visited Georgia, which is 6.8% more than in the same period of the previous year.

International tourism revenue  amounted to  $ 3.051.424.548 in January-November 2019 that is $ 35 million more compared to the same period of last year.

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, government officials, private sector, diplomatic corps, donor organizations and media attended the presentation of the annual report.
