Ambrolauri is Hosting a Taste Fest- Racha, Lechkhumi and Svanetian Dishes

Ambrolauri will host "Taste Fest". The preparations for the festival are in the final stage. As part of the new project of the National Tourism Administration, the festival will be held in Ambrolauri, in the Central Park on Kostava Street on August 26-27.

Within the framework of the festival, guests will have the opportunity to buy and taste Rachuli, Lechkhumi, and Svanetian dishes. Local wine will also be presented at the festival. There will be an entrepreneurial market, music, and entertainment spaces organized. 

The festival is organized by the National Tourism Administration and supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The goal of the project is to promote local cuisine and develop gastro-tourism in the regions.

The following are involved in the search and preparation of festival participants: Rural Development Agency, local municipalities, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti administration and gastronomic associations.

Within the framework of the project, experienced chefs visited the villages of Racha, Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti and helped those wishing to participate in the festival in the selection of dishes and visual decoration. The participating families and restaurants received training in festival-related skills such as adhering to hygiene standards, providing speedy service, pricing, etc.
