Adjara Mountains Welcome Hikers for the Inaugural Hiking Festival
For the first time, the picturesque mountains of Adjara are hosting a vibrant hiking festival, drawing up to 100 outdoor enthusiasts from various regions. The festival kicked off in the scenic heights of Chirukhi, where participants set up camp amidst breathtaking views.
Over the span of five days, hikers are embarking on an adventurous journey across some of Adjara's most stunning landscapes. The itinerary includes treks to notable destinations such as Sarichairi Yalaghe, Khikhadziri Gorge, the historic Khikhani Castle, the tranquil Shuamti Lakes, and the popular Goderdze Resort. Each site offers unique natural beauty and cultural heritage, providing participants with an enriching experience of the region's diverse offerings.
The festival is set to conclude on July 27 at the Alpine Botanical Garden, marking the end of a week filled with challenging hikes, camaraderie, and exploration of the great outdoors. Organizers hope that the success of this event will establish it as an annual fixture, promoting Adjara not only as a beach destination but also as a haven for hiking enthusiasts.
