Addressing the Skills Gap: Georgia's Tourism Sector Faces Challenge of Finding Qualified Staff

Addressing one of the pressing issues within Georgia's tourism sector, Mariam Kvrivishvili highlighted the acute shortage of qualified personnel during the 2023 annual summary presentation of the tourism and aviation industries.

The Deputy Minister of Economy underscored the government's commitment to addressing this gap through collaborative efforts aimed at bolstering workforce training and professional education.

"We are in close collaboration with the respective ministries to ensure the provision of comprehensive retraining and vocational education programs. These initiatives are geared towards both upskilling job seekers and supplying employers with the skilled workforce they need," Mariam Kvrivishvili elaborated.
