19 Investment Projects Being Implemented at Goderdzi Resort
"In line with a Master Plan of Development, we will develop Goderdzi Ski Resort so that it will become a truly remarkable destination of international standards" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia when visiting the sites of investment projects in the field.
As noted by the Head of Government of Georgia in response to journalists, construction of hotels is progressing at high speed and new cable-car road will be commissioned shortly to build the key infrastructure at the site.
"Resort has a unique potential. Our mountains, our nature is the greatest wealth we have and need to take care of it. Hence, we are trying our best to take steps to ensure the sustainable development of any resort. You may recall that errors were made during the construction of other resorts in this realm and we should not repeat the past practice.
As we now have a Master Plan of Development, serving as a precondition for such development of Goderdzi Ski Resort that it will, by all means, comply with international standards. I am delighted that construction of hotels is progressing at high speed. We also plan to commission a new cable-car road. We need more cable-cars and key infrastructure at Goderdzi Ski Resort. We need to build an access road as well. It is vital. It is a project of national significance and it goes beyond a regional scope. Road infrastructure will ignite a completely different life and energy in the region" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
At present, 19 investment projects are being implemented at the resort. Overall, 150 MLN GEL has been invested in adding 1300 bed capacity to the resort and creating 1000 jobs. Investment projects include Hotel Ambasadori Goderdzi, which will inject 30 MLN GEL in total in building a 5-star hotel with 100 rooms.
