10 Weekly Flights Between Abu Dhabi and Kutaisi During Winter Season

Starting in November, there will be 10 weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi-Kutaisi-Abu Dhabi route, up from the current daily service.

This increase was announced during a visit to Kutaisi International Airport by the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Georgia, Ahmed Alnuaimi. He was hosted by the General Director of Georgian Airports, Irakli Karkashadze, who gave him a detailed tour of the airport terminal and navigation tower.

The ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the direct connection between Abu Dhabi and Kutaisi, highlighting that the Abu Dhabi route is currently the top performer in terms of passenger numbers.

"I am pleased to be at Kutaisi International Airport, which is both beautiful and modern. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, which already flies daily between Abu Dhabi and Kutaisi, will soon nearly double its flights, offering two flights on certain days. This is great news," said Ambassador Alnuaimi.

At present, direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Kutaisi operate daily. However, during the upcoming 2024-2025 winter season, the frequency will increase to 10 flights per week.

"It was an honor to host the UAE Ambassador at Kutaisi International Airport today. We discussed our infrastructure and future plans. The UAE is a key tourism market for us, and having twice-daily flights from Abu Dhabi during the winter season is significant. We will continue to work on promoting this route," said Irakli Karkashadze.

According to data from the first nine months of 2024, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has transported more than 115,000 passengers on the Abu Dhabi-Kutaisi route.
