Tsatsia Ostati' Sparks Innovation in Dedoplistskaro with New Wooden Toy Manufacturing Unit

The company "Tsatsia Ostati" has recently kick-started a wooden toy manufacturing enterprise in the municipality of Dedoplistskaro. This project, which boasts an investment of over GEL 100,000, includes GEL 79,000 as co-financing from the rural development program.

The Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, Natalia Kharatishvili, together with Kakheti State Trustee Giorgi Aladashvili, Dedoplistskaro Municipality Mayor Nikoloz Janiashvili, and UN Development Program Rural Development Coordinator Giorgi Cimintia, visited the site to assess the progress of the newly operational enterprise.

Presently, the company employs five local individuals and has a production capacity of 20,000 toys daily. These products are currently serving the local market, however, plans for expanding into export markets are on the horizon.

Natalia Kharatishvili, the Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, emphasized, "Financial support from the Rural Development Agency’s programs is a crucial tool in enabling the rural populace to establish stable livelihoods and strengthen their economic status."

In this context, Giorgi Cimintia, coordinator of the United Nations Development Program "Improving Rural Development in Georgia", highlighted that the European Union and the UN Development Program have been actively supporting rural development in Georgia for many years, thereby generating new opportunities for rural residents. To date, the project has created over 500 jobs.
