Startup Gaagore Created an App for Football Tournaments

"Gaagore" - that's the name of the mobile application, which initially offers anyone who wants to organize football tournaments, create sports teams and participate in these tournaments.

The founder of the startup, Mirian Manjavidze, told bm.ge that at the moment the application is only available on "Android" and it already has about 1000 users.

"My friends and I love football very much, and those who play at the amateur level always wonder how many goals they scored, etc. That's where the idea of ​​creating a platform was born. We started its development and finally reached the "Master League". When communicating with them, it turned out that the organization of the tournament is a big problem for them too, and they also write on a piece of paper. We were told that the idea that we proposed would be very useful, so we started working actively.

Today in "Gaagore" anyone can organize a sports activity, so far only a football tournament, create sports teams, invite friends and participate in these tournaments. The application has been in test mode for a month and at this stage, it is only available for Android," he notes.

It should be noted that the 5-person team of "Gaagore" won a 15,000 GEL grant from GITA, and the money was used for the initial development of the application.

As for the income, the startup as a business will develop in two directions.

"Organization of the tournament is free for those who wish to use the application, however, organizations, schools, universities, who are entrusted with planning large tournaments, this service will be paid for them. In addition, advertisements will be placed on the platform. We will start the business development of the application in 2023," says Mirian Manjavidze.

"Gaagore" also has a plan to exploit different countries around the world. According to the founder of the startup, the initial countries will be Moldova, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
