SOMA KIDS - New Children's Clothing Brand with Georgian Ornaments

Atelie Soma created a children's clothing brand Soma Kids inspired by old Georgian ornaments.

"We have years of experience in the field of textiles. We started the production of kids clothes a month ago. We pay a lot of attention to the fabric, we visited the place ourselves to find the raw materials and to see how and on what principle the production should be done. We got to know all this in detail, and our product has three types of environmentally friendly packaging that the buyer can choose - these packages are a wooden box, a paper box and a cloth Georgian kisa.

Our product is distinguished from competitors by the fact that we have embroidered old Georgian ornaments on it. The topic of sustainable fashion is also important to us and we have developed such a waste strategy. Therefore, the waste from the production will not end up in the trash can, but we will give them a new life, we are already creating sleeping bags for pets," says Sofio Tuaev.

At the initial stage, the product will be sold through online stores. The brand is currently negotiating with two stores where the stands are planned.

"We also want to cooperate with maternity clinics to include gift boxes. In addition, the relatively distant future plans of the enterprise include expansion and export,'' said the Sofio Tuaev. 

Atelie Soma has been operating in the city of Gori since 2015, and at the initial stage its direction was to sew/remodel clothes individually. The business, which started with 1 tailor, now has several employees and is constantly developing.
