New Startup Tel:Me Changes the Way We Shop

Recently, a startup that enables customers to purchase any product for less than stores and distributors. Tel:Me searches for the desired product for the user by communicating with distributors and product manufacturing companies.

The founder of the startup, Lasha Khetereli, talked about this with BM.GE and noted that Athe startup currently has 50 partner companies.

"We started working on the project about six months ago, although it has been a month since the startup was officially launched. Our primary functionality is a tele-assistant that helps customers buy absolutely any product at a lower than advertised price. For example, if a refrigerator costs 2,000 GEL in a store, the customer can buy it with a 20-30% discount, because he buys it at the price of the importer or manufacturer.

This process is carried out in partnership with distribution and manufacturing companies, at this stage we have about 50 partner companies and we cover all kinds of products, just recently we started communication with food distributions and we have acquired almost all of them. This process is also beneficial for them, because they sell the product without incurring the costs of entering the stores, marketing, etc.

This service is completely free for our customers, and the partner companies pay us Cash Back for each sold product,'' says Lasha Khetereli.

According to the founder of Tel:Me, 15 people are involved in the project, and during this time they have established communication with more than 3,000 users.

"More than 3,000 people searched for a specific product at a lower price than the advertised price, while the sales were less, however, the trend in this regard is slowly increasing," says Lasha Khetereli.

As for the challenges, the founder of the startup tells us that while establishing partnerships with companies was an easy process, gaining the trust of customers and increasing awareness is quite difficult.

"We actively work on this anda tell customers that if they do not receive perfect service, we can return or replace the product," explains the founder of Tell:Me.

For information, the startup was launched with the personal investment of the founders. As Lasha Khetereli said in a conversation with BM.GE, they are planning to launch an application in the future, and now users can contact them through social networks.
