GITA's Complete Investment Committee Members Back Agronnect Startup

In an unprecedented move in the history of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), Agronnect, an agronomic consulting startup, has drawn investment interest from all five members of GITA's investment committee.

This development, as revealed by Agronnect's founder, Valeri Amiranashvili, was a result of the award ceremony of the "150,000 GEL Co-Financing Grants Program," where the committee members publicly announced their investment intent. The investor lineup features high-profile international names such as Sasha Michaud, Co-founder of Glovo, Luke Kowalski, Vice President of Oracle, along with renowned Silicon Valley investors Tim Wagner, Bill Reichart, and Marty Ringlein.

"Among the eight startups chosen by the GITA jury for investment, Agronnect stands out as the sole company that has secured investment commitment from all jury members. We are immensely pleased with this achievement, marking a great milestone for our company," shared Amiranashvili with "Business Partner". Further discussions and details about the partnership will be discussed in an online meeting scheduled in two weeks.

Agronnect, one of the triumphant startups from the latest round of the 150,000 GEL Co-Financing Grants Program, aims to revolutionize agronomic consulting by making it universally accessible through an online marketplace.

Since its launch in 2023, GITA's grant program has funded a total of 175 startups over nine rounds, propelling the development and commercialization of innovative products and services with international potential.

With this newfound backing from all committee members, Agronnect is poised to make a significant impact in the global agricultural sector, further strengthening Georgia's reputation as an incubator of groundbreaking innovation.
